Paramax and DSX Access Control systems prove worthy partners in protecting our world leaders during APEC 2007

Paramax Integrated Systems and DSX Access Control Systems in providing the electronic security solution to APEC 2007 ensured the safety and security of our nation’s leaders as well as those world leaders and the thousands of delegates from overseas. Paramax partnering with Thales Australia provided not only the electronic security solution for Leaders Week in Sydney Australia but also all the meetings throughout the year prior.

The DSX system was chosen not only for its proven reliability but its ability to integrate within the defence strength IT network required to manage the network functionality from Accreditation through to the access points. DSX’s unique interface capability made it the perfect partnership technology to link the requirement for a fully integrated interface between the security Accreditation system and the access gates.

David Neal, Accreditation Manager, Transport, Security & Accreditation Branch APEC Australia 2007 Taskforce, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, indicated that the quality of the supply team assembled by Thales Australia in its role as Prime Systems Integrator and the commercial off the shelf systems provided by each of these suppliers, which included Paramax and the DSX solution certainly played a role in Thales Australia winning the APEC tender against a number of other bidders.

Paramax Integrated Systems Pty Ltd has won the Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL) prestigious Aviation and Critical Infrastructure Security award at the Security Industries Awards for Excellence dinner held during the Security 2007 Conference and Exhibition in Sydney, Australia. Working very closely with the federal Department of Transport and Regional Services (DOTARS) under their “Security our Regional Skies” program, Paramax was contracted to develop a CCTV and real-time management infrastructure that compassed the content of Australia. Paramax not only delivered a workable solution but also developed a product – AirAccess, that managed a short coming not previously identified by DOTARS.
